An informational interview is a meeting with a professional in a specific career or industry. The goal of an informational interview is to research a particular career, learn about daily tasks associated with that line of work, and discover the traits and skills necessary to succeed in a particular profession. Additionally, an Informational Interview is a very effective way for students to identify a career path, make valuable industry connections, and uncover possible employment opportunities. An Informational Interview will generally last about an hour and should include a facility tour.
